Instructions

For this assignment, you will create a 5–8 minute video presentation on a future advanced technology trend or innovation, and explain how it might affect a specific sector of the healthcare delivery system, as well as affect the healthcare management in that sector in the future.

Your choice can be specifically related to your current or future career area. Or, you can choose a technology or innovation that is especially fascinating or groundbreaking in nature to you. Be sure that your chosen advanced technology trend or innovation is either in its infancy or in the idea generation, screening, or experimentation phase of the innovation process. You are looking ahead to understand the value of awareness of the impact of future possibilities on strategic planning and forecasting.

Your presentation should be suitable for a professional audience. You may produce your video using any device and software you are comfortable using and that can be uploaded in the Capella courseroom. You must ensure that the audio and picture quality are clear, and you must provide a transcript or outline of your presentation. Refer to the second study in this unit for detailed information.

In your presentation:

Provide an introduction to the advanced technology future trend or innovation and the sector of the healthcare delivery system to which it is being related.

Describe the impacts that the advanced technology future trend or innovation might have on this sector of the healthcare delivery system in the future.

Relate the concepts of creativity, disruptive innovation, exponential growth, or healthcare entrepreneurship, as applicable.

Describe the impacts that the advanced technology future trend or innovation might have on the role of the healthcare manager in the future.

Identify and defend the credibility of the source(s) of information that you researched on the advanced technology future trend or innovation.
