Discussion Forum 10: Mexican Artists

In Discussion Forum 10, post your response to the following discussion assignment. Reply to at least two classmates’ responses by the date indicated in the course Calendar.

• Mexican artists, more than most other artists in the Americas, exemplify the political and social obligations of artists. Consider the works of any two of the following artists to illustrate this point: Orozco, Rivera, Siqueiros, Tamayo. Do you think art and artists have political and social obligations? Defend your answer with examples.

• Once you have completed your posting, choose at leastone other posting from another student and review and respond to his or her answer.
