 After one of the deadliest mass shootings in modern US history at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida, some politicians are considering a comprehensive plan to keep students safe, including a suggestion to raise the minimum age to buy a gun (riffle) from 18 to 21. These politicians believe raising the legal age of purchase for “all” guns to 21 will serve as a middle point between Second Amendment and student safety. Do you find this argument compelling?
