According to ethical egoists, right actions are those that promote one’s own best interests (Vaugh p. 430). Thus, ethical egoists agree with psychological egoists that the basis of all human action is ultimately self-interest.
Do you agree with ethical and psychological egoists that human beings are incapable of acting selflessly? In other words, are all human actions motivated by self-interest? Justify your answer with compelling evidence or examples.
