The more honestly you answer the questions, the more you will understand your potential as a leader.
Complete the following Leader's Self-Insights: Does your organization's leadership "walk the talk?" The phrase, walk the talk, implies the leaders espoused values that closely resemble the values in action (or not). Walking the talk (or not) influences employees in a positive (or negative) manner. The alignment or non-alignment affects tangible and non-tangible production. When leaders walk the talk, it creates harmony versus discord, profit versus loss, ideas versus stagnation, etc.
At the end of Chapter 14, do the exercise Leadership at Work: Walk the Talk exercise. First, give an example of your own experience where leadership walked the talk or when leadership has failed to do so. Then interview four other individuals about their experiences with leadership walking the talk. If you interview a boss or a person in a position of leadership, watch their body language. Post your responses to the discussion early in the module week. Your responses should be a minimum of 300 words, grammatically sound, and free of spelling errors. Review your peers' responses and comment on two posts that particularly interest to you.
