Assignment 2: Psychopharmaceutical Reference Guide (PRG) – Part 1

Now that you have explored antidepressants, add the information specific to antidepressants to your Psychopharmaceutical Reference Guide (PRG).

For the category of antidepressants, the template lists four major classes:

• selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs)
• serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SNRIs)
• tricyclic antidepressants (TCAs)
• atypical agents.         

Under each class, you must include at least one commonly prescribed medication within each class. You can include more than one if you would like – remember this is supposed to be a tool you can continue to use as you progress toward licensure.  The template for the PRG lists the required information you will need to enter for each medication.
