Imagine your team has been selected to complete a research presentation on societal lifestyle trends. The presentation will discuss lifestyle trends in society that are helping to reduce health care costs (e.g., preventive care, better diets, and more focus on wellness, etc.) AND those that are increasing health care costs (e.g., obesity, chronic conditions, smoking, etc.).

As a team, research and select one lifestyle trend.

Create a 10- to 15-slide (not including the title and reference slides) Microsoft® PowerPoint® presentation in which you address the following:

    • Identify the lifestyle trend selected.

    • Explain the effect the trend has on the demand of health care services.

    • Explain how requiring consumers to have health insurance will have a positive or negative effect on the future of the economy and the health care system.

    • Explain how providing incentives to consumers for having health insurance will have a positive or negative effect on the future of the economy and the health care system.

   • Identify other major issues that can have an effect on health care in the future.

Include a title page, detailed speaker notes, and a references page.

The speaker notes must be of appropriate length to adequately cover all the material on the slide.
