Purpose

Effective delegation supports positive outcomes. As a master's-prepared advance practice nurse leader, you will be responsible for proper delegation of team work and patient care that enhances positive health care outcomes. For this assignment complete a video of you role playing, as the nurse leader, delegating a task or assignment to one of your subordinates or peers (the camera will be used as the individual you are delegating to).

For example, think about delegating

a task for the nurse on the clinical unit to complete

Assignment Overview

Assignment Instructions

Please note - the intent of the video portion of the assignment is to videotape yourself delegating the information (Consider the camera the individual you are delegating to). This is role playing. No PowerPoint or other media should be used to deliver the information in the video. The recording must include you presenting information face to face with the camera.

Part I: Create a video recording of you presenting the information required in the assignment. (Consider the camera the individual you are delegating to)

Follow the instructions to create and upload a video recording using Kaltura, which are located here: Kaltura Instructions

The video recording must be a minimum of three to four minutes and no more than five minutes in length. Hint: 100 words is approximately 1 minute of dialogue.

You will want to be descriptive to your colleague about the delegation assignment

Make sure to also give some background as to why this assignment is necessary.
