Discussion #1 Trade in Body Parts

What do you think of this industry?  Given the tenets of neoliberalism, should we even try to regulate it?  Why not just let the market drive the practices?

For example, say there is a top surgeon in Chicago who needs a kidney or a heart.  Shouldn't they be able to buy one from a poor person in Mumbai or Guatemala City--even if it harms the health of the "donor" if they have the money and the other person needs the money?

Or, is there another approach to responding to this situation that you might support more?
