CIS 415 Unit 6 DB: Artificial Intelligent

In a speech held at the Web Summit technology conference in Lisbon, Portugal a few years ago (and in previous conferences), world-renown physicist late Stephen Hawkins stated that AI could be either the best or the worst thing ever.  Do you agree or disagree with his statement and why?
