Unit 9 Final Lab ProjectThe final project will be completed in Units 9 and 10. It will give you a chance to apply all of the concepts learned throughout this class and will provide a real world application of payroll through the use of McGraw-Hill Connect and the use of computerized payroll applications.In Unit 9, you will be completing the Short Version 1 Month option of the Comprehensive Payroll Project in Appendix A which begins on page 399. Be sure that you Save and Exit after completing any work. You will complete the payroll register, the employee earnings record, and the journal entries and post to the general ledger for each payroll date as required. In Unit 9 you will complete the December 15 and December 31 payrolls in Connect.You will complete the state and Federal tax forms and the W-2 and W-3 forms in Connect in Unit 10.Download Tax Table A and Tax Table BYour final project is to be completed in McGraw-Hill Connect. You access the homework platform by selecting the “Unit 9 Lab Final Project ” link. You will have a limited number of attempts to complete the final project and you should save your work often. You have the ability to “check your work” during each payroll period, but you have been given only 12 attempts to “check your work,” so use them wisely.Important Note regarding Appendix A – When writing out the net amount of an employee’s check, be sure to write in it the correct format (e.g., Three Hundred Ninety-nine and 75/100). Be sure to capitalize the letters as shown. Do not include the word “Dollars” because the system will not recognize your answer as correct. Enter all dates in mm/dd/yyyy format.
