Workers In The American South To Attempt To Organize, Or To Join A Union.

it's like for workers in the American South to attempt to organize, or to join a union. Workers in Tennessee, Mississippi, and South Carolina failed, sometimes overwhelmingly, to vote to be represented by a union in contract negotiations with their employers. Why? Do you think attempts to unionize would have been unsuccessful if the factories you read about had instead been located in Midwestern states, like Illinois, Michigan, and Ohio? Why is the political class of the southern states so opposed to unions? Is that opposition rational? Is it in the economic interests of the people of those states?
