This week, you learned about the musculoskeletal and nervous systems. For this week's discussion, you will write a patient description of either a musculoskeletal or nervous system issue highlighting key terms. Then reply to peers by defining the terms they have highlighted.

Read the sample below:

Sixteen-year-old Samantha (Sam) was experiencing sudden onset dyslexia and migraines. Her mother thought it might be due to a concussion because Sam had fallen on her head during cheer practice. She was worried about meningitis as well. When Sam fell, her coach wanted her to have a myelogram, but Sam stated she was fine. The coach checked to see if Sam was experiencing any hemiplegia.

When Sam’s mother took her to the hospital, she learned that Sam was experiencing encephalitis and would need immediate treatment.

Instructions:

Post a description of a patient with either a musculoskeletal or nervous system issue.

Use at least seven medical terms with prefixes and suffixes related to these two systems in your post.

Bold or highlight the terms to “translate.”
