Serving as the administrator or Director of an early childhood program caring for young children is a tremendous responsibility. The present structure and system of laws, procedures, regulations, guidelines, and standards provide guidance and protection to new administrators and Directors as well as experienced ones. These laws, statutes, rules, regulations, and directives that limit recommend, direct, and govern early childhood programs are designed to generate a safety net for students and to identify a level of quality that no center should fall below.

For this week, your essay should appeal to a diverse population, including parents of English language learners and special needs students. Professionals are charged with creating and maintaining healthy learning environments. Also, they must apply the required codes and regulations to create a safe and healthy environment for young learners. 

Within your essay, you should address the following:

· Examine staff to child ratio for your state.

· Explain your state's method of assessing a center for a ranking system.

· Explore your state's content standards for ECE programs.

· Discuss guidelines for the use of media in the center (TVs, tablets, computer stations).
