Final paper
The student will compose a final paper due at the end of the 15 week session. Please observe the Special course calendar for the final paper RE: MTA 2020 Preliminary Budget (the “Plan”) below. (Alternatively, the student may obtain approval to research a different but relevant topic for the final paper.) The paper, prepared at a level of scholarly and/or practitioner sophistication consistent with graduate research, must be composed on some facet of capital and operational budgeting and fiscal management as assigned by the instructor. Paper should be approximately 1,500 words in substance, double-spaced, and with normal margins. The instructor may consider a topic proposed by the student, but this proposal needs to be approved in advance and a corresponding outline endorsed by the instructor. The timeliness, quality, completeness, and accuracy of the paper will comprise 30% of the student’s grade in the course. Students may accept the MTA 2020 assignment or the student may develop his/her own relevant topic with instructor approval required and obtained in advance. Permission to complete and submit a final paper other than the final paper described below (RE: MTA 2020 Financial Plan) is at the sole discretion of the instructor
