1.) Have you had experiences in which realities matched racial stereotypes? How did you feel about these observations? What would social interactionists say about the way stereotypes are reinforced?
2.) Do you believe racism is universal? Why or why not? Or is it a legacy of European civilization?
3.) After watching True Colors, A Girl Like Me, and A Class Divided, do you believe that the concept of "race" increases or decreases self-worth in children? What about in adults? Can skin color, hair texture, (even eye color), determine a person's value in the world? Were you surprised by any of the videos that you viewed? If so, which video clips and why?
