Select any four out of the following six questions to answer.

1. Do you think race-norming is a significant answer to difference biases, or is it a way to lower the standards for traditionally underrepresented groups? Support your answer with scholarly literature and resources.

2. Select a syndrome evidence case in which you disagree with the outcome of the case (the case can either be one you studied in this course or one of your choosing from outside the textbook). Briefly describe the case, and explain why you think the court’s ruling should be reversed. Provide cited and referenced scholarly support for your opinion.

3. Compare and contrast the two concepts of affirmative action and reverse discrimination. How do they differ, and what do they have in common? Give an example of each to support your answer.

4. Name and describe the five (5) categories of persons who, as the primary objects of discrimination, receive protection by the courts. Give an example of each.

5. Compare and contrast the reasonable woman standard and the reasonable person standard with regard to sexual harassment. Use the two Supreme Court cases of Harris v. Forklift Systems, Inc. and Ellison v. Brady as the framework for your discussion.

6. Assume that you are a forensic psychologist who has been hired as a human resources consultant for a business. What policies or guidelines would you prescribe to prevent, mitigate, or eliminate sexual harassment in the workplace? This is not your opinion but a well-conceived and researched answer. Make sure you substantiate your recommendations with literature and scholarly resources that address this issue.
