Under the “Articles” tab on the Information Literacy, you will find two articles (“Article C and Article D).   Here’s a big hint: one of them is a primary source, and the other is a secondary source.  Using the NCC Information Literacy PPP, the attached “Primary Source” document and the link to the University of Maryland Global Campus Information Literacy site, look at both articles and analyze EACH of them, giving at least four of the criteria for each, determine whether it is a Primary or Secondary source.

(PS – you don’t need to ‘read’ the articles or analyze them for the content itself; for this exercise, we just want to categorize them.)

Here's what I’d like to see:

1)    A brief introduction re: what is information literacy;

2)   At least a paragraph on Article C, including 4 criteria for whether it is a Primary or Secondary source;

3)   At least a paragraph on Article D including 4 criteria for whether it is a Primary or Secondary source

4)   A brief conclusion.

Please take note of the Rubric before you write!

The paper should be at least 250 words, and include an introduction and a concluding paragraph including, among other things, what you have learned.  Make sure to use logical paragraph sequences for each of the articles, and upload a MSWord or pdf file to Blackboard when you are ready. You will have unlimited attempts to upload, and your grade will be based on your highest score.
