What’s the Worst That Can Happen?

An exercise in climate change...

We know that our planet is warming.  Scientists have been taking simple measurements of global air and ocean temperatures since the late 19th century, and keeping historical records too.  However, there always seems to be a “debate” as to whether or not this is really happening. 

In this exercise, I want you to weigh in on this topic.  Fill in the table as much as you possibly can from what you may already know and things you may have learned in Chapter 4.  Then answer the conclusion question found below.  Read this table like a grid, or maybe even like a Punnett square.

Now, rather than thinking and debating as to whether its really happening or not, think more as to whether we should act or not regardless.  Which box(es) have the most severe consequences?  What’s the worst that can happen?
