Identify a minimum of four ways in which a disease may be transmitted from an animal reservoir to humans.  Give a minimum of two reasons how environmental change affects infectious disease occurrence.  

Zoonotic and vector-borne diseases have many adverse effects and contribute to many deaths every year.  In a minimum of 300 words, define "zoonosis" and  "vector."  Identify and discuss a minimum of five zoonotic diseases and five vector-borne diseases.  In your response, suggest methods to control both types of diseases.  Lastly, state which disease(s), if any, contribute to the environmental health issue you chose.  How does this topic relate to your environmental health issue?  

2nd Topic:  While some metals are beneficial to humans, others present hazards to the health of the human population.  In a minimum of 200 words, identify types of toxic metals and discuss their hazard to hazards to humans as well as methods for prevention.  How does this topic relate to your environmental health issue?
