Not contain more than three spelling or grammatical errors.  Please double check that especially spelling, capitalization, and punctuation rules have been followed, as well as other major conventions of English writing.

Sufficiently acknowledges any resources used in the composition of the essay, including the textbook.  References to the textbook can be as simple as, “In the textbook, it states that X (3)”.  References to other resources should make it easy for me to find the resource and the information you used; so, author, title, and page number(s) is usually sufficient.  You do not need to make use of any formal citation protocol, like MLA or APA.
