Part 1 : M4D2: Cybersecurity and Criminal Justice System

Cybercrime and cybersecurity present unique challenges for the criminal justice system. In this discussion forum, your instructor will pair you with another student(s) and, as a team, discuss these challenges.

Respond to the following:

Question 1: Identify the specific challenges that law enforcement, the courts, and our correctional systems encounter when dealing with cybercrimes. With your partner, develop a list of challenges for each part of the criminal justice system.

Question 2: Select at least one source other than the textbook for each part of the criminal justice system—police, courts, and corrections. Briefly explain why you consider this source valuable. Post the web links and your comments.

Cyberattacks are almost impossible to detect and trace. The issue has become such a concern that the FBI recently made cybersecurity a number one priority.
