An organization’s readiness to utilize best evidence for practice is important. Without the support of senior leadership of the organization and nursing leadership, change can be more challenging than it needs to be. Assessing readiness for the use of  evidence-based practice (EBP) allows the  advanced practice nurse to better understand how to negotiate change with leadership. 

For this assignment, you will answer survey questions relating to your organization’s commitment to and readiness for evidence-based practice. 

There are 7 questions about evidence-based practice on the survey. When doing the survey, think about the readiness of your organization for system-wide integration of EBP.

Select the best response that describes the state of EBP for your organization.

Answer the following survey questions regarding your organization: 

1. Does your organization support the use of evidence to frame policy development and practice?

2. To what extend do the nurses within the organization support the use of evidence to frame practice and the delivery of healthcare?

3. What evidence does the organization have that demonstrates support of EBP?

4. How often is quality data and evidence to frame practice used within the organization?

5. Is the organization Magnet® accredited?

6. To what extent are resources used to support EBP?

7. On the scale of 1 to 5, how would you assess your organizations readiness for practice?

Based on your answers from the survey address the following elements in 525–700 words:

· Explain the organization’s commitment to EBP based on the answers of the survey.

· Select and discuss how an evidence-based model (or continue with the evidence-based model used in the discussion) could guide the development of EBP within the organization. 

· Discuss how the model would address issues identified in the survey.

· Identify 2 or 3 approaches that can be used to foster a spirit of inquiry within the organization.

Include a minimum of 4 scholarly references, one of which can be your textbook.
