Visit an early childhood program and observe and reflect on the types of creative play activities children enjoy, what they become engaged in and how to plan for emergent learning situations that are based on developmentally appropriate practice.  Relate your responses to Parten’s play stages.  Discuss the stages of art and play observed – be specific with evidence that matches various each stage discussed (at least 3 stages expected).
