Scenario Selection

For this discussion, select one of the following scenarios:

Scenario A:

You are the DNP nurse in a regional, rural primary care health center. You are responsible for the clinical training of staff and the quality program in the center. You also provide direct care to patients 2–3 days a week. There has been a large influx of patients with chronic respiratory disorders from the local industrial plants. You want to propose a program to address this population's needs.

Scenario B:

You, as a DNP nurse, are asked to lead a process improvement project in your organization. The project will address the poor patient satisfaction scores received over the past 8 months. You suspect that some of the root causes may include staff dissatisfaction and increased overtime hours.
