Activity Description
A credo grounds you, and means that you must find a way to describe yourself in terms or qualities that are part of you no matter what happens to you financially, professionally, or in your career.
Credos take qualities from simple words to daily action. The Johnson & Johnson Credo provides an example of how such qualities that form the foundation for ethical behavior can be applied in an organizational setting. The credo is a personal application of the qualities that transcend from the individual to all the stakeholders of the organization.
Write a paper addressing the following:
- Part 1: After reviewing Jennings’s Reading 1.1 regarding the importance of a personal credo, list those qualities you have and would keep regardless of external motivators and influences. Include a statement of how you would like to be remembered.
- Part 2: Review the Johnson & Johnson credo example and video. Interpret how the qualities you listed in your personal credo can be effectively applied in an organizational setting. Then, write a credo that is pertinent to a company or organization where you are a stakeholder.
Support your paper with a minimum of three scholarly resources in addition to the required resources listed for the assignment. Therefore, in addition to the specified resources, other appropriate scholarly resources, including older articles, may be included.
Length: 5-7 pages, not including title and reference pages
Your paper should demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the ideas and concepts presented in the course by providing new thoughts and insights relating directly to this topic. Your response should reflect scholarly writing and current APA standards. Be sure to adhere to Northcentral University's Academic Integrity Policy.
