You've been granted dictatorial powers over your own civilization. Now, you only have to convince people to move there for it get started. To advertise, it's important to explain which philosophers helped create the foundation of your new utopia, and which aspects of this new society are reflect their ideals. This requires solid knowledge of which philosophers believed what, and it always requires comprehension of their ideas to apply them to components of your society.

REQUIREMENTS

1.      Name your society.

2.      Choose at least three philosophers that we have studied to form your society. Many philosophies are compatible or complementary, so that shouldn't be difficult. 

3.      Choose one philosopher from our class whom zero evidence will be found in your society, and explain why that person's ideas are not welcome. 

4.      Address these abstract aspects of life with concrete examples:

o    lawmaking 

o    justice 

o    property rights 

o    social contract

o    liberty

o    equality

5.      At least one use of animation and one sound should be used within the final product. (Video and voice-overs are highly recommended, but not required). 

6.      Plan a presentation, whether video or slide format, that will last 5-10 minutes maximum.
