You are now just about ready to write your case. In this final section, you want to pick the solution that feels right for you. The most efficient method for selecting the optimal solution includes asking the following questions:

            1) Why is your solution the best choice?

            2) What assumptions were made to select the best solution?

            3) Which solution will most likely accomplish the desired outcome?

            4) What resources will be needed to execute the recommended course of action?

            5) Are these resources available?

            6) What sequence of actions needs to take place?

            7) What is the timeline for success?

            8) What metrics of success should be included?

            9) What is the contingency plan?

            10) What happens if nothing changes? 

This process is best accomplished by summarizing alternative courses of action and expected outcomes in order to evaluate alternatives with the most likely and least likely chances of success.
