Workshop #3 Psychology Exploration Project

Our Workshop #3 Psychology Exploration Project has TWO PARTS.  

This is an assignment submitted to me, not a discussion board.

To complete this assignment you will have to carefully read our assigned reading and carefully watch our assigned videos.  Pay special attention to the section in Chapter 9 which focuses on Likert style items and survey design.

This Exploration Project requires you to create a short survey that measures an attitude.  Your survey must include 5 Likert type items and one open-ended item.

Part 1: Create a 6-item survey.

Choose an attitude that you would like to measure. Tell me what the attitude is.

Make up a title for your test/measure/survey.  Your title should identify the attitude that you hope to measure. (Feel free to be creative and have fun!)

Write 5 Likert style items that you believe have face validity. :-)

  HINT: Likert items are actually statements not questions.  Use the possible Likert responses provided in our reading.

Write one open-ended item to measure the same attitude.

Part 2:  Apply the BRUSO Model to your 6 item survey.

Here I'm asking you to briefly explain each part of the BRUSO Model and to relate each part to the survey that you created.  Feel free to be casual/conversational with your writing when applying the BRUSO Model to your survey.   I don't expect your survey to be perfect.   :-)
