1. By acquiring Jaguar Land Rover (JLR), what strategic goal is Tata Motor trying to achieve? What kind of diversification is this acquisition?

2. What are the major motivations/reasons of the acquisition? Gaining market power? Changing competitive scope? Learning new capabilities? Overcome entry barriers? Others?

3. How can Tata Motor increase value through the JLR acquisition? Economy of scope (shared activity or corporate level core competency)? Market power? Financial economy?

4. What are the external and internal risk factors preventing Tata Motor from realizing the benefit of the acquisition? You can think of organizational (related to core competency) and financial reasons and the consequences.
