Evidence-based practice is now widely recognized as the key to improving healthcare quality and patient outcomes (Chien, 2019). So EBP is an essential component of the practice of a BSN-prepared RN. The BSN curriculum is more focused on EBP and providing high-quality education and skills training for the students. Evidence-based practice demands changes in the education of students, more practice-relevant research, and closer working relationships between clinicians and researchers. Moreover, it provides opportunities for nursing care to be more individualized, more effective, streamlined, and dynamic, and to maximize the effects of clinical judgment (Youngblut & Brooten, 2001).

The writer will continue to observe problems in the nursing practice and find a possible solution. With interprofessional collaboration, will implement intervention and evaluate the result, and present to the health care workers for information. Besides that, continue to encourage staff to practice EBP. The possible challenges may be lack of motivation of staff and nurse shortage however, the writer believes that continuous education and motivation of nursing staff can bring positive outcomes.

Discuss why EBP is an essential component of the practice of a BSN-prepared RN. Identify two ways in which you will continue to integrate evidence into your practice and encourage it within your work environment. What obstacles could challenge this plan, and what steps will you take to minimize their impact?
