In Chapter 3 of the text, Siegel discusses victims and victimization. Victimization theories argue that victims are sometimes responsible for their own victimization. There are three primary theories of victimization that attempt to explain the aforementioned. The theories focus on victimization as it relates to conventional crimes. In your paper,

• Explain how victims can protect themselves from being victimized.
• Discuss when and where the rates of victimization are the highest.
• Select one of the four theories of victimization discussed in the Siegel (2015) text, and analyze how the ideas contained therein can be applied to the study of victimization.

Your paper must

• Be three to five double-spaced pages in length (not including title and references pages) and formatted according to APA style as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center (Links to an external site.).
• Include a separate title page with the following:
