Each of you will select a topic. 

Your topic should fall into one of two categories: (1) an in-depth look at a discrete subject or (2) a comprehensive survey of a larger concept.

It may require you to jump ahead and skim through some of the later chapters to see if there is something particularly interesting to you from which you could fashion a topic.

I will approve the topic or work with you to find agreement on the nature of the topic.

The topic must be relevant to a weekly topic or a combination thereof in this course.

I will have final authority over the topic selection.
