In this assignment, you will develop the Nature of the Study section of your dissertation and you will complete a change matrix.

Review the Nature of the Study section of the “Doctoral Phase 2 – Precis” section of the CDS Dissertation Guide on CDS Central.

Complete the following 2 parts to this assignment.

Part 1: Nature of the Study

For Part 1 of this assignment, you will develop the Nature of the Study section. The Nature of the Study should provide a synopsis and justification of the research method and design for your study. These elements should be in line with the problem, purpose, and research questions developed earlier in this class.

Remember, too, that the method is your general approach (qualitative, quantitative, mixed method), and the design (case study, phenomenology, correlational, etc.) will fall within the method you chose.

Adhere to the “Doctoral Phase 2 – Precis” template found in the CDS Dissertation Guide for specific requirements for this section.

Combined, these sections should be 1-3 pages long. You may use previous coursework when developing your dissertation phase deliverables.

Be sure to support all aspects with peer reviewed literature and include APA formatted references.

Format your paper according to APA guidelines.

Part 2: Change Matrix

For Part 2, you will combine all of the sections we have worked on so far in this class in Weeks 1-4 for a full Chair review of your study. Remember to review the previous feedback from your Chair and URM and make the appropriate revisions to your completed prospectus before you submit this week.

This is a Chair review week. Please use the Blank Change Matrix (located under Tools for Success on CDS Central) to provide faculty feedback from the Week 1 Prospectus Submission for Chair and URM Review to document faculty feedback and your changes.

Submit both your revised document and the Change Matrix.
