- 2,000 – 3,000 ships to addresses in Europe

- Customers of Kimberley in Europe are: wholesale and Retail (incl. direct store deliveries).

- Strategic markets UK, Germany, France, Benelux, Spain, Portugal and Russia

- Customers require delivery within 2 days of ordering. This means 1 day for order receipt and warehouse preparation and 1 day for final distribution.

Assignment

You act as a business consultancy team for Kimberly to optimize their distribution centers in Europe.

As a business consultative team, you take a consultative approach towards helping Kimberly to select their warehouse locations based on the factors that are provided in the background.

Task steps

- Decide upon optimal location of the warehouses by choosing the two most appropriate warehouses based on qualitative factors.

- Present your outcome to the board of Kimberly based on the location decision criteria for distribution centers. Which countries are the best locations for investing in distribution centers?

- You have to convince the board of Kimberly for the best two locations and you have to give explanations for your support.
