UN Goals (Current News Event)
Find a news event that relates to your LEDC and MEDC. You will connect that to a Sustainable Development Goal that can be useful for that country. For example, if your goal is peace and justice, find something related to injustice within a country.
You can use the same current news from the Population project, or you can select something new. This can be either a news article that you read, or even a news event that you watch on TV or online. Please fill in the worksheet below:

- Explain your selected goal, and explain its importance, related to your continent/region. (2-3 Sentences)
- Explain your major theme, and how the news event relates to this theme.
- If this goal is achieved, how can things be different by the year 2030? (3-5 Sentences). Be specific, relating your answer to the country, location, issue, etc. Use some of the information you’ve learned about the country. (Literacy rate, life expectancy, government type, GDP, etc. )
