Twentieth Century and compare and contrast their worldview

Chose at least two reading from our class and/or the book - one from the Twentieth Century and one from prior to the Twentieth Century and compare and contrast their worldview. How has the world, and the art its various cultures produce, seem to have changed in the span of time between your two works? Which do you think is a "better" work?
