Labor unions in the United States have a long and distinguished history. For sake of discussion, labor unions are formed in order to protect the safety and well-being of employees from their employers’ labor practices including dangerous conditions, extensive work periods, and severe repercussions as disciplinary action.

1. The labor unions today provide more of a benefit or detriment to workers and members in an organization? Please substantiate your position or the use of reference materials internal and external to the course materials. OR
