In this assessment, you will plan a portion of your on-boarding strategy by developing a New Employee Orientation Plan for the position described in Lesson 1. To help you with this assessment, you may want to refer back to your Lesson 1 job description, your reading in the textbook, and your Lesson 2 Application exercise.

Instructions: This assessment has three parts. You should respond to each section independently. Your response should completely address all parts of the question. Make sure and cite any references you use within each section.

1. New Employee Orientation Tactics/Strategies

List a minimum of three tactics/strategies that you will include in your New Employee Orientation Plan. Be sure to describe each of the tactics and how they will increase the effectiveness of your small business.

2. Identify and Describe Three Skills

Identify a minimum of three key skills that you will need to teach to your new employee during the New Employee Orientation process. Be sure to describe the rationale for identifying these key skills and how developing these skills will increase the effectiveness of your small business.

3. New Employee Orientation and Organizational Results

Write an essay that has an introduction, body and conclusion describing how a strong on-boarding strategy and an effective New Employee Orientation program will help you reach your goals and, ultimately, achieve optimum organizational results.
