We have discussed a variety of concerns and theories that can be applied in the context of coping and stress throughout this course.

The Signature Assignment for this course will be an 8-10 page essay (excluding title page and reference page). You should use a minimum of 4-5 academic sources (at least 2 from the Touro library) in your Signature Assignment.

Choose one (1) of the highly stressful occupations below as the focus of your Signature assignment:

1. Medical doctor

Please address the following topics in your Signature Assignment.

Explore the types of stress and the sources stress in the context of the occupation you have chosen to highlight for your signature assignment. (Module 1 and 2).

Elaborate on at least one (1) coping measure or instrument that would be helpful as a screening tool for the occupation you have chosen to highlight. How can the outcome measures of a coping measure be used to allocate support and resources for a person experiencing stress in the occupation you have chosen to highlight? (Module 5)

Discuss one (1) published research study where the researchers used cognitive reappraisal training, emotion regulation training or gratitude training with people working in an occupation you have chosen to highlight. Explore the effectiveness of the training on the population you have chosen to highlight. (Module 6, 7, 8)

Elaborate on the challenges of training stress coping strategies to people who have significant difficulty in work-life balance in the occupation you have chosen to focus for the signature assignment (Module 4)

Writing Guidelines

Essay must be double-spaced with 1-inch margins and typed in 12-point Times New Roman.

Your paper should have a title page and references page (not included in the 8-10 page total count).
