There are many people who think that members of Congress should be term-limited just like their counterparts in state legislatures across the country. Supporters of term limits claim that would draw people to run for office who wanted to ‘get things done’ instead of worrying about getting reelected. Opponents of term limits say that experience is a critical part of the job and that legislators do a better job for their constituents and the nation as time goes on.
