There are many different types of business formations.  However, not all types of formations are good for small businesses.  Given that small businesses have market issues to consider, answer the following questions-

• Why do you think there are so many available types of business entities today?
• What was the motivation for the passage in the late 1980s and early 1990s of statutes authorizing limited liability companies?
• Research a profitable company
• Evaluate what type of business formation it is and the state where it was set up
• Do you agree with the type of formation?  Why or why not?
