The president of your company to work

You have been asked by the president of your company to work with and lead a team that she has just formed. In the past, the company has not used employee groups to make decision, but after reading several articles on the topic, the president decided to "try it out". You are faced with three major tasks:

1. You meet your group and the first task is to explain that group involvement/ participation will improve the quality of decision making. Be specific and substantiate why group/team work is beneficial.

2. You will also explain that there are some drawbacks to group decision making. What challenges should the group be aware of so they minimize group disadvantages?

3. Describe the actions you believe the group take to make the team run like a "well-oiled machine"?
