The energy in glucose is transformed into the energy stored in the chemical bonds of ATP by the oxidation of glucose during three steps of (aerobic) cellular respiration: 1) Glycolysis, 2) The Kreb's Cycle(also called the Citric Acid Cycle or the Tricarboxycyclic Acid Cycle , and 3) Oxidative Phosphorylation in the Cytochrome System.
