Text Task:  Can we get rid of the concept of ‘freedom’ from our vocabulary.  Why?  Why not?  Use elements of Chapters 8 and 9 of the Rachels text to support your claim.Much of our knowledge of reality shows that freedom is not present.  Natural causes can be explained without this curious notion of the capacity to choose one or another option. Take an example from your own life that shows you were free or you were not free to do otherwise.  Second, consider the results of the experiment using the theology students passing by a person in obvious distress, described on page 104 of our text.  Third, describe compatibilism and consider if it offers a chance to claim some bit of a capacity for conscious choice.  Finally, what are the implications of not being free?  Watch and comment on the following two links:Do Humans Have Free Will, Or Are We Programmed By Society? by Joscha Bachhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KUOW6BgwleoPaul MacCready on Nature and Humanityhttps://www.ted.com/talks/paul_maccready_on_nature_vs_humans
