The focus this week will be on creating a 2-3 page draft of the data analysis and discussion sections for your final project paper. Remember that these sections should be detailed and able to be read and stand alone in terms of interpretation and understanding.

Week 6 Project  

Preparation of the Scholarly Article

In NSG8110 Capstone in Applied Practice III, you submitted a letter of inquiry to the editor of a scholarly journal. Submit a copy of this letter and any correspondence you have had with the editor since that time. Identify and include the guidelines for the specific journal and submit those with your assignment. Finally, create an outline for your manuscript which is reflective of author’s guidelines for the particular journal you chose. As a part of your outline, include basic mock-ups of any tables or graphs that may be included in the final article.

As you create your outline, include sections that address the following:

The problem statement for your project

Clearly stated project objectives

Detailed and clear explanation of the results of the data collection

Implications for clinical practice based upon the results of the project

Week 7 Project  

Scholarly Article

This week, you will create your final manuscript for submission to a scholarly journal. Last week, you created an outline for the manuscript and by now have some feedback from your faculty member. For this week’s work, create the final product by drafting the manuscript. Submit this to the Submissions Area for your instructor’s review. Please review the rubric for guidance.

Draft of the Entire Scholarly Article

This week, you will submit your last draft version of the scholarly manuscript based upon your continued work and the feedback from your instructor. Identify any particular questions you have or any areas where you would like more careful review from your instructor.
