Strategic Plan: Part I – Situational Analysis (represents 20% of the final grade)
In preparation for Part I students will develop an A-Z Glossary of Terms to use in in the Strategic Plan and develop a “client” profile that includes the organization’s mission, programs or services, budget, leader mandates.
Then following the information provided in the textbook and the General Criteria listed above, develop a “situational analysis” on your chosen government agency or department. Develop a “client” profile that includes the organization’s mission, programs or services, budget, leader mandates, and do a full SWOT analysis.
Strategic Plan: Part II – Strategy Formulation (represents 20% of the final grade). Following the information provided in the textbook and the General Criteria listed above, develop long-range strategies from the situational analysis that includes the organization’s programs or services, budget needs and leader mandates.
When both Part I and Part I are complete they will be combined to make a single comprehensive Client report.
