What are the defining characteristics of Romanticism? Explain how the works of authors Irving, Cooper, Dickinson, Poe, and Melville meet the criteria of your definition. Be certain to have at least three defining qualities and be certain to discuss all five authors in the essay. 

Requirements:

Organize your paragraphs by defining quality and not author.

Essay should have at least 5 paragraphs: an introduction, 3 body paragraphs, and a conclusion.

Remember to use in-text citation to identify the author and title.

You will also need a Works Cited page for the essay.
