Qualitative Research is the systematic collection, organization, and interpretation of textual information.

Qualitative Research differs from Quantitative Research in the sense of approach, with mostly inductive reasoning and not only that, the sampling process is also different. Examples of sampling differences is while quantitative mostly is random, qualitative is more selective and purposeful.

Qualitative Research can benefit the Medical Laboratory Science field in terms of, how we view research when looking at it in a more relational perspective rather than a causality perspective. This could improve how medical scientist can not only understand that concepts of their research, but relate it back into patients or society as a whole idea.

In an example, a qualitative research question could be "What could cultural representation in the medical field do for Hispanic patients who show animosity and distrust for physicians of other backgrounds?"
