1- Qualitative research can be defined as a group of well-defined tactics that help to collect, organize and interpret research data.-

2- Qualitative research uses inductive method by starting from just an idea from which hypotheses will be generated and tested to reach a conclusion. In the other hand, quantitative research uses deductive method for its approach and oppositely to the qualitative research, the sampling method here is random.

3- Qualitative research can help add value to data collected from quantitative research in the Medical Laboratory Science. As an iterative process, it will help for a better understanding of the results obtained.

4- To investigate the relationship between the number of minors in juvenile detention and the presence of a paternal figure.
